Project CATCH (“Charitable Assistance To Community’s Homeless”) Project CATCH assists homeless families with children by connecting them to a local "sponsor" - congregations of faith and local businesses. The sponsors provide housing for the families who also receive intensive case management to help them address the issues that may have contributed to their homelessness. More than 30 local congregations, businesses, and service providers are currently involved in the program. The goal is for participating families to be self-sufficient within six months to a year of entering the program. In its first year, Project CATCH served 25 families with a total of 68 children. Nine out of 11 families successfully left the program, most within six months.

Project CATCH is managed by the City of Boise and enlists congregations and members of the faith community to provide housing for homeless families and youth.

Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity envisions a decent, affordable home for everyone in Ada County. Therefore, it is our mission to work in partnership with God and our community to provide decent, affordable homes to those in need and to promote responsible home ownership accordingly.
We work in partnership with people in need to build decent, affordable housing. Habitat volunteer-built homes are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged.

Volunteers contribute the labor hours and individual and corporate donors provide the money and materials needed to build Habitat homes. Partner families invest hundreds of hours of labor - "sweat equity" - into building these homes; building their home, as well as, the homes of other partner families.

Our driving force is our volunteers - those dedicated people who contribute a day, a week, a few months, to give Habitat's vision a tangible form. Volunteers, joining with the future homeowner families, provide most of the house building labor. But they do a lot more than build houses! We ALWAYS need volunteers to help us on our great committees. We have a small staff and without the help of our volunteers we would never be able to accomplish our mission.

If you haven't volunteered for us before, please attend an Orientation at 10:00 am on the second Saturday of every month at Stronghold Construction, 3040 Elder St in Boise. You'll learn about all the different volunteer opportunities here at Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity!

Jesse Tree of Idaho The Jesse Tree of Idaho is a non-profit social service agency dedicated to spreading the message of God's mercy and love to those in need through prayer, word, and deed. Currently our major focus is Emergency Rental and Mercy Assistance (ERMA). Thier main concern is preventing homelessness. Each month many low to moderate income rent burdened families face the threat of eviction due to temporary financial setbacks. A temporary setback may include a short term job loss, illness, high utility costs, unexpected car repairs etc. Providing one-time rental assistance allows most families to remain in current housing and get back on track and regain self-sufficiency within a few short months. The process is as follows: The applicant completes a phone screening according to established criteria, the applicant comes into the office to complete an application and to provide additional documentation, a social worker processes the application by contacting the property owner, interviewing the applicant and providing additional referrals as needed. The last step is a housing inspection to ensure qualified families are living in a safe environment. Rent payment is then mailed directly to the landlord. Three months after services have ended a follow-up call is made to the applicant to verify they are still housed and working toward financial stability.
