City of Boise:
Organizing
items for the homeless. Go to the City of Boise storage unit located
at Peasley Transfer and Storage. Go through boxes of linens and sort
and put together sets to be handed out to incoming participants. There
are over twenty boxes or more and about four boxes of towels, washcloth's
and hand towels that need to be put into sets. This could take a couple
of hours. This project also depends on the day if it’s nice then
it can be done but if its cold, windy or raining it would have to be
canceled.
A Rocha:
We'll
be working in and around a canal and overgrown, "wild" area
in Garden City were we will see evidence of beavers, deer, rabbits,
and a host of other creatures utilizing this natural area - so bring
your long pants and gloves if you have them! Tasks will include water
quality testing, wrapping & securing chicken wire around trees to
keep the beavers from chewing them down, cleaning-up various small debris
and garbage, and educational/interactive talks from a variety of "specialists."
